My Godfather Ian had what should have been a straightforward operation, but unbeknownst to him, the surgeon was incompetent and not only caused a lot of damage to Ian but to many other patients as well. As a consequence, Ian had to have a couple more operations to attempt to rectify the situation, and sadly in one of these operations, a non-communicable tuberculosis mycobacterium got into his system. However, for many years, doctors failed to diagnose this and gave him the wrong treatment, which made him more and more ill and caused osteomyelitis in the majority of his bones, leading to swelling and agonising pain. Because of all of this, Ian is now in a lot of pain and has to live with the consequences of this surgeon's wrongdoing. So in August, I am planning to run a 10km race to try and raise money for Ian to make the little things in his life a little better. I am hoping to raise £1000 to be able to buy him a rise recliner chair tailored for him and many more things to benefit him and make him more comfortable. Any donations will be massively appreciated!
