My sister Darcie to come visit

Hello, my name is Danielle.

I am setting up this fundraiser to help my sister Darcie raise money for a long overdue trip back home to the states.

If you don’t know, my sister Darcie and her husband Gary have been full time missionaries in Australia with YWAM for over 20 years.

They work in so many capacities, from helping students and staff organize and apply for visas, helping plan out flights for teams, teach classes, write curriculum, keep the bases computers running… and so many more things.

It’s been over 4 years since Darcie has been able to make a trip back home to the states. (Imagine no vacation time in 4 years?!?)

Darcie is currently looking to make the trip to Michigan in mid May to early to mid June.

From there Darcie will visit more family in Florida and Gary’s family in Alabama.

They try to make a trip home every 2 years or so, but between schedules, finances and the Covid Pandemic it’s been nearly impossible to get home to see family and meet up with supporters.

Even when our dad passed away 2 years ago, it was the height of pandemic, and it made it impossible for her to get back to be with family during such a very difficult time.

We are so excited that it is now easier for her to get back into the states and she is now able to plan a trip home. ♥️

Unfortunately at the moment they are planning only for Darcie to visit and not Gary, though it has been way too many years since Gary has been able to make the trip to the states as well the expenses are just so high (anyone else notice how much flight costs have risen considerably in recent years especially international) they don’t know if it will be possible for both of them to come at this time. The goal amount for this fundraiser is just for Darcie, but it would be wonderful if we could double it and they both could make the trip!

I would love to help out in as many ways as I can, please consider helping me in helping them raise the funds they need for this much needed trip.
