Saving Stella Mba (Njemanze) - Crisis Health Care

First of all, thank you for your many prayers and concern! After much discussion and encouragement from friends and family, we have started this GoFundMe to help Stella with her immediate medical needs at this time. Many of you have asked and offered to assist Stella, therefore we have established a centralized way for you to be able to share her story and help. Thank you in advance for your benevolence.

Stella has experienced a mental health crisis. She has been homeless and unsupported for many years in Atlanta. Throughout those years she lost contact with her family and her friends. Approximately one week ago, she was found and placed in a medical facility to improve her mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Currently, we need assistance to help her get all of the treatment that she needs to regain her dignity and her sense of self-awareness.

Due to medical costs at this private hospital and not having insurance , Stella is set to be discharged in just a few days, even though her traumatic experience has not been addressed. We would like for Stella to receive further treatment which will be an out of pocket expense until we can secure social and health insurance benefits for her which takes many months. Due to her not qualifying for extensive inpatient care, Stella will next be placed into a group rehabilitative facility and will receive further treatment over the next year. It is an all-inclusive facility that provides daily medical, housekeeping, and transportation assistance to medical appointments for its clients.

Before this distressing experience, Stella was a lawyer, licensed realtor, a devout Catholic attending church regularly, and she was responsibly taking good care of herself and others. Unfortunately, a series of traumatic events led her into a depressive state, both mentally and emotionally.
