My sister, Susan Pippin Needs Your Help.

Hi, my name is Julie Forehand Della Mea, and my sister Susan Forehand Pippin needs your help. Susan and her husband, Stacey, are from Williamston, NC. Stacey is a Captain on the Williamston Fire Department, and she is a pharmacy technician at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. They have two beautiful Daughters, Abby and Hannah.

Stacey and Susan have been very active in the community over the years. They have given time and support in the community by volunteering for sporting events, coaching, fund raising, cooking for weddings and social events, and numerous other functions. They are a fun loving couple who now need the community to help them. Let's get together and show our support.

Over the years, Susan has slowly battled rheumatoid arthritis, and has refused to allow it to run her life. She continually pushes herself, not allowing others to know her pain. The daily struggle of just working and being involved with her daughter's sports and functions was trying. Her health has been especially difficult over the last year.

Last month, Susan was having a number of tests performed for some pain she was experiencing which was not associated with the arthritis. During a routine colonoscopy, Susan's spleen was damaged. The following day, Susan passed out and was bleeding internally. Doctors attempted a surgical repair, but were not able to control the bleeding. This lead to a second surgery and a full removal of her spleen.

Susan is recovering slowly and has a long road ahead of her. She is not one to sit around, and is anxious to get back to where she was working and having fun. However, due to the major surgery and long recovery period, I feel she needs everyone's help. It is difficult for a couple who constantly gives to ask for help. This go fund me request is not from them, but from me. Let's show our love and support. I do know however that the bills and invoices are mounting. The two income household is now one with Susan only receiving partial salary for about twelve weeks.
