My sister has cancer

Hi, my name is Hilary and on May 30th my sister Hallie (pronounced Hah-lee) was diagnosed with cancer, specifically Hodgkin's Lymphoma a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system which is a part of the immune system. She has a very long and hard road to recovery with both chemotherapy and radiation. A result of this treatment is hair loss.

I am raising funds that will go towards buying her a human hair wig that will allow her to still feel normal and like herself even after she loses her hair. My sister has always kept her hair very long so learning that she will lose most of it has been very hard for her to come to terms with. As a hairstylist myself I know how important hair is. It's something that is so ingrained in our identity and losing it is devastating. In this way I hope to make dealing with her cancer easier on her and any additional funds raised will go to her to relieve any financial stress since she is not working at this time.
