My sister’s tumor and radiation costs
Donation protected
Update:
Hi friends:
My sister got her results from the biopsy.
Her tumor is benign - but it is a grade 2. Her last tumor was a grade 1.
This means that this tumor is more likely to turn, and to spread.
Based on where it is located, and it being a grade 2, she was told that there is a small chance they could get the entire tumor, and it could jeopardize the tumor spreading more rapidly.
Her best course of action right now is radiation, and monitor with MRIs every 6-8 weeks.
Her insurance only covers one MRI every year. Last year she spent over 20K in imaging.
So, I humble ask - if you can, and feel inclined please consider helping Abby.
This holiday season has been difficult for so many of us, and we appreciate your thoughts and prayers more than you know.
This season of Christmas I have felt the love of our savior covering me, and taking the worry. And, for that I am grateful.
Original post:
Hi friends. My sister, Abby is once again facing radiation. Some of you might know that she faced this last year, and underwent radiation everyday for 8 weeks. Her tumor shrank, but she was told that it would return. She got the call this morning and it is back, and she needs radiation again. She is devastated, as her insurance requires her to pay $5,000 to to begin treatment.
Abby has 4 kids, she works full time, this isn’t going to be easy for her - not withstanding the fact that it is the holiday season.
I humbly ask you to consider donating anything, to help her start treatment. Abby is a strong, confident woman and will overcome this, she just needs the wherewithal to get over this roadblock.
Many thanks, friends.
