Please help Mufasa receive Stem Cell Therapy

Hi my name is Vuyo and I am fundraising for Mufasa my beautiful 4 year old autistic son. Mufasa is a very happy child and every one he meets falls instantly inlove with his smile and colorful personality. His teachers absolutely love him and yet we've had to change schools 3 different times. His teachers described him as the happiest and angriest kid at school.

He is nonverbal which makes it hard for him to communicate which results in aggression due to frustration. We've tried Speech and Occupational Therapy as well as Social groups among other things, but his aggression makes it hard to associate with other people. He wore diapers until the age of three years, even though he is potty trained now he sometimes wets himself or soil his pants outside of home(sometimes even at home) due to not being able to communicate. He used to absolutely love dogs and other animals but lately he is terrified of any kind of animal. Mufasa will make strides of progress and then suddenly we will see some regression from him. At the moment he loves puzzles, Legos and building blocks, we call him our little Engineer. He is currently on medication to keep his mood swings a little low but the medication helps for a while until his system gets used to it and we have to keep increasing the dose. The side effects of the medication are not worth it so we keep the dose as low as possible which then leaves us with his mood swings and meltdowns.

Mufasa gets extremely overwhelmed in public places. We can barely take him anywhere other than the park where it's nice and open for him. Apart from that we've stopped taking him to restaurants, the arcade or even family and friends gatherings. When we had my parent's 50th wedding anniversary dinner, his dad had to stay at home with him and not attend as that would've been too much for Mufasa.

Mufasa has to be watched 24/7 as well as he has no sense of danger. He will run in the road while a car is coming. He can easily injure himself while playing. During his anger fits he will break cupboard doors and hurt himself. He is completely dependent on his parents as he is not able to do much for himself. He is a fulltime job.

After extensive research we are now looking at Stem Cell Therapy as a beacon of hope to give him a better opportunity to fulfil his full potential amongst other people. I hope that with your help I too will one day hear and see my son hug me and say "I love you mom" as opposed to the scratching, screaming and spitting we have to deal with on the daily.

The funds collected will be used for travelling to and receiving Stem Cell Therapy in India at Neurogen Brain and Spine Institute, on 28th July 2024. The procedure itself takes one day, followed up with rehabilitation for two weeks at their facilities.
