My Son who has lost almost everything after a fire.

Hi, my name is Kelly and my Son and his Girlfriend suffered a sudden and severe fire that started at about 9pm on Sunday night on Purfleet Street in Kings Lynn. He and his girlfriend had been working hard since they were 16 to buy all they had. He rang us at 9.15 to say the flat above was on fire and was then being evacuated.

He first smelt the fire 15mins prior but thought someone was having a bonfire. Next thing he heard was an explosion above, which was the flat windows above. He managed to knock on the door of his neighbour to get him out. The Fire Brigade were on the scene in minutes, followed by Police and Ambulance crews.

This was his first home he setup with his girlfriend. He watched as his home was burnt down, knowing all along that he’d forgotten to get the insurance sorted! He watched as all his work was burnt to cinders in minutes! It’s really difficult to get started with your own place after leaving school so this is a serious setback. I am an auxiliary nurse and his biological Father doesn’t support him financially, so we can’t just replace a home full of items. I’m hoping the West Norfolk community will help me help Him and his Girlfriend get back on their feet after this terrible tragedy.
