My son with kidney failure, needs transplant

Hi, my name is Karen Grzybowski and I am fundraising for my son Sam.

Sam recently graduated from Worland High School. His passion was in playing football. He also competed in track and wrestling. Sam worked hard maintaining high grades and earned a scholarship to the University of Wyoming- Laramie.

Our world was turned upside down this June when Sam’s kidneys failed and we were life-flighted to the Salt Lake City Primary Children’s Hospital. We spent two weeks in the hospital until Sam stabilized. He is now back home and we make the 144 mile round trip to Cody three times a week for dialysis.

Sam has decided to still go to college this fall to work on a degree in chemical engineering. We are arranging dialysis treatments in Laramie for him. He is in the process of being tested for a kidney transplant. We are very fortunate that one of his best friends is willing to donate a kidney if all works out. We are all hoping that Sam will be able to get a transplant by the end of the year.

After the frightening experience of the emergency hospital stay, we are now seeing the bills pile up and our insurance not covering as much as we would like. I am requesting money to help pay for Sam’s medical expenses. If you feel it in your heart to help out and you are able, please consider donating.
