My tiny dancer Emmy Bell, dance to her dreams!

Donation protected
My name is Cortney, I’m a mother of two incredible children my son Keagan, he is 12 and a great big brother. Emory, is a nine year old full of strength, determination and talent. Every mom will tell you there kid is the best but in my heart I truly believe Emory was born with a gift that God gave her to share with the world! Emmy has raw talent. We found a great studio that teaches our children not just dance but humility, respect, and dance. This is our second year on the competition team and we barely scrapped by the money last year. This year after Emory’s incredible first year dancing she was offered more dances and a solo. Emory, has been so excited about her solo she even cried learning she was offered a solo! I did not realize how much of an increase in cost one more dance plus a solo would effect us. I’ve been working as much as possible picking up shifts but it has been a difficult couple years for our family financially. I was hit hard with some health issues and every thing I’ve saved is gone. I fractured my hip and spent 13 weeks without pay. I missed nationals due to that hiccup but I’m determined to watch her on that stage perform her solo! I was also diagnosed with uveitis scleritis which essentially is an autoimmune disorder that melts the eye! Another reason I want to watch her come alive on the stage! Watching her last year was absolutely beautiful and if one day my vision fades my memory won’t!!! At our first convention she won a scholarship. The teachers said they’d not seen many young girls that could pick up the style and tone of the dance as quickly as Emory. I knew she was a good dancer but never expected her to win this type of award. It confirmed what I knew as a mother she needs to dance. The teachers and judges were truly shocked she had only been dancing for three months before trying out for Shinning Starz competition team. I however knew my daughter and once she sets her mind to something she goes out and gets ut done. She taught herself how to do a back handspring. I can’t help but think if she had more time being taught where her talent could take her. I say nothing is impossible for this talented girl! Please help us make her dreams come true and help me to see every moment of this year!!!
