My Tour De 4 Fundraiser to Fight Cancer

Hello, Many of you will know, and many won't...... but I was diagnosed with Stage 4 (Terminal) Prostate cancer in late 2021. Unfortunately when it was discovered it had already "metastasised". This means it has spread. To my pelvic bone and my spine. So it is currently not curable. HOWEVER...... I have been living a great life and been on many adventures all over the world (Africa, South America, Middle East and Europe) since then, in 4x4 cars, Motorcycles, bicycles and foot (even walking the Pennine Way again 40 years after my last attempt). I've had my own adventures and I've supported many others to have their adventures which has also given me enormous pleasure. I've kept my diagnosis quiet from public and not asked for charity until now. I want to join Sir Chris Hoy in showing others that you can continue to live an amazing life even with this terrible tag round your neck.
In 2014 I cycled the Tour de France Route (3,700km in 23 days) in the Tour de Force charity event, and to this day I don't know how I did it! .... and it was people like Sir Chris who inspired me into cycling then.... and he is now inspiring me to take part in his Tour de 4... This will "only" be 60km in 1 day (7 Sept 2025) but as my strength and health slowly deteriorates it's not going to be the simple whizz it would have once been for me.... So I'm raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.
My daughter Nina, and her amazing man Oli are joining me on the day and cycling with me (so please if you can spare a few pounds for their GoFundMe pages it would be appreciated as we all need to raise 200 squidlies). Andy, Scott and Neil are also riding with us.... and all raising money too. (I can share their pages privately if you wish).
So we are hoping for nice weather and a fun ride whilst raising a bit of awareness. Your contribution will make an impact. Thank you for your support.
SERIOUS NOTE: If caught early prostate cancer can be beaten. If you are around 50 years old, or have a Dad, husband or mate who is around 50 please go get a PSA blood test at your GP. It doesn't hurt and it may well enable you to live longer and share more memories with loved ones...... even if you don't donate to the cause, please get your blood test done. It's so important fellas xxxx
