My Warhammer Wellness Tour

Hi, my name is Bud, and I am on the path of healing. My mental health has been suffering, and it has impacted my relationships and my physical health. My blood pressure is not good. So, I've made the difficult decision to take a medical leave from teaching the students I love. I know sitting at home in my basement is NOT the path to recovery. So, I need to get out. Warhammer has been a big part of my mental health journey. The people I've met in the hobby have helped me feel like someone who matters. So, I'd like to go on a road trip, visit people I care about and play warhammer.

In February I plan to drive from Winkler, MB, through the northern US and southern Ontario and hopefully make it all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. This will give me time on the road to deal with the dark spots in my soul and hang out with amazing people. I also plan to broadcast from the road on my Twitch stream. I will be on the road for about three weeks. It all depends on how long I hang out at each spot and how long I can handle travelling.

The money raised will go towards paying for gas, food and honorariums for people I stay with along the way. I think gas will cost about $800 CDN. Having a Toyota Prius has its benefits. I don't know how much food, road tolls or accommodations will cost. So, I'm budgeting $2000.

Any money that is raised that I don't use will go to Eden Health Care Services in Manitoba. They do wonderful work in Manitoba for people with mental illness.
