My wife and I, to live together finally.

Hello, my name is Ross. I am a 31-year-old living in the UK, and I am currently a stay-at-home carer for my mother, who suffers from a heart condition and disabilities and needs help with daily tasks. My wife is 33 and lives in California, USA, where she works as a Para-Professional Educator.
My wife and I met online on Discord back in April of 2017. We very quickly became extremely good friends, and over the next few years, that friendship blossomed into attraction. We soon realized that we were on the path to something bigger.
At the start of 2020, we made it official and started dating, making plans for our future together. We didn’t let the pandemic get us down and persevered in working towards our joint goals of living together and building a life together, though at the time, we weren’t sure in which country we wanted that to be.
We made arrangements, and by December of 2021, I was on my first flight ever to meet her in person. It was a whirlwind of emotions, and it was one of the best three months of my life. We had a connection that neither of us had ever experienced before, and being together in person made it all the more significant. We said our teary goodbyes at the end of the trip, but we knew this solidified our need to live together.
We tried our best to visit each other as often as possible, mindful of finances and our work lives, doing what we could to plan for the future. But it only seemed to get harder.
I used to joke with her during the years of our friendship that one day I was going to marry her, and we would laugh about it. But when she came to the UK to visit in the summer of 2023, we took a week-long trip across the UK, culminating in the Lake District, where I went down on one knee and asked my best friend to be my wife. She said yes, with tears of happiness in both of our eyes.
On my next visit to California at the end of 2023, we couldn’t wait to be husband and wife and made plans to elope. We drove out with a couple of her family members to the coast and got married right there at a place called Wedding Rock.
Since then, our plan has been for me to move to California to be with her. We’ve been working towards this for a very long time, and I even made a career change to move into something more sustainable for our future, which has had its own difficulties.
She was here in the UK with me for Christmas just passed, and during her visit, the troubles in the world began to pick up pace. Without going into details or making this political, as a Native American woman in the USA, my wife no longer feels safe in her home country. This has greatly affected her mental health, and she is desperate to leave.
This was when we made the quick decision to alter our plans and have her move here instead. Since returning to the USA, we have frantically searched for ways to make this happen as quickly as possible, while the situation in her country seems to escalate. This has become our last hope.
I am trying to raise money to fund my wife’s visa, her flight, and travel costs to bring her here to the UK to be with me in safety and start our lives together properly.
We just want to say in advance, thank you to anyone who is able to donate towards this goal, no matter how small, you are helping us live our dream.
