Help Bug & her twins beat the odds!

On February 20, lack of finances for a $10-15,000 surgical procedure took away my chance to save a horses life. Mona coliced and I ended up leaving the clinic with $1700 worth of "you tried" and an empty trailer. I cannot let that happen again. My other mare Bug was bred May 29, 2014 to Frenchmans Six Dash in the hopes of having my next barrel horse to raise from the very beginning. Everything looked great right along, her ultrasounds early on and at 5.5 months showed us one healthy foal...but she was getting a bigger belly than other pregnant mares, so I decided to have things checked out again, and on February 10, 2015 that one foal was discovered to have company. So late in the pregnancy it was a tough decision, but judging by the foals heart rates, Bugs overall condition , and the opinions and stories of people who have either been in the same position or been breeding horses for decades, I decided it would be best to let nature do it's thing and not induce labor to abort the foals...Losing Mona, Bugs best friend and only pasture mate, to colic this week has thrown a huge wrench in our hearts and in the plan, but I'm hoping that Bug pulls through these next few stressful days without any adverse effects on the pregnancy. She will later be taken to Buttonwood Farm to be monitored on cameras 24/7 and to be 5 minutes away from the expert veterinarians of Rhinebeck Equine who will attend to her delivery, whenever that may be. I am prepared to lay everything I have on the line for her, but that still may not be enough. The board up until delivery will be over 2,000$ and delivery itself $1500 without any of the likely complications. Then, depending on the condition of the foal(s), it is likely that they will need intensive care, coming in at 400+$ per day, per foal. If Bug should need a blood transfusion, or surgery, I am obviously looking at a much larger figure. It doesn't sit well with me to put this out there for all to read, but I need to do everything in my power to keep my girl healthy, so fundraising it is. Any and all contributions are extremely appreciated, and even of you just share this link, you did something! Hoping for a very happy ending to this overwhelming roller coaster ride...thank you for reading, and I will update with any new info as it comes! Here's to believing in horses and miracles <3! The countdown to April 15 is on!
