Dear Friends, Family & Kind Hearted Strangers,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father, Ziedonis Butkevics.

Earlier this year our father was involved in a serious car crash however his passing is a complete shock to us all.

Unfortunately, due to the sudden nature of our father's passing, we are now face with the difficult task of arranging his final farewell.

Those that know us know we are a small family. Our father Ziedonis was a good man, a father and grandfather to his only grandchild. Dealing with this news and the financial burden of funeral expenses is very overwhelming for us during this difficult time.

We have been advised that our father has no benefits or savings left following the car crash which now means that this responsibility lies with us, his only two children. We want to be able to give him the most dignified and heart felt send-off that he deserves but at this present time we are financially unable to.

We are therefore, reluctantly, reaching out to our communities both in Latvia and abroad to ask for financial support in honoring our fathers memory. Any contributions no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated and will help towards alleviating the financial strain on us, his two children who are left with this huge responsibility.

Your generosity would make a meaningful difference in ensuring that our father Ziedonis, is laid to rest with the dignity and respect he deserves.

ALL funds raised will go towards ours fathers funeral arrangements including the burial/cremation, transportation and memorial service.
