Myanmar: Relief for Rohingya
Donation protected
In the face of unimaginable adversity, the people of Myanmar and the Rohingya community are grappling with the aftermath of crises that have left countless lives shattered. Donations go beyond charity and rather signify a stand against injustices such as persecution and human rights violations.
By contributing to this cause, you directly aid humanitarian organizations in providing essential assistance—food, shelter, hygiene, and protection—to those who have been affected. Your support becomes a lifeline for displaced families of refugees and residents, going towards healing wounds, both physical and emotional, and fostering resilience altogether.
This fundraiser is an invitation to be part of a global community that cares and recognizes the shared responsibility to alleviate the suffering of our fellow human beings. Your generosity becomes a tangible expression of solidarity that extends "Beyond the Waters". Together, we can make a meaningful impact, offering not just relief but the hope of a brighter tomorrow for the Myanmar victims.
All donations this month will go to Rohingya refugees through BRAC USA, which has been serving Cox's Bazar communities for nearly four decades and is now the largest responder to the Rohingya refugee crisis. Since August 2017, over 700,000 Rohingya have fled violence in Myanmar to Bangladesh, with nearly 900,000 now living in refugee settlements in Cox's Bazar, more than half being children. 965,467 Rohingya refugees have been documented as of September 2023. BRAC operates 800 learning camps in Cox’s Bazar, where nearly 700,000 children learn and play and they have 26 encampments. These donations provide vital support, including food, water, shelter, sanitation, healthcare, education, and protection, to families in crisis. They will also be used to fund learning centers and schools.
