Noticia Telemundo : Una mujer fue hallada muerta en una casa en Springfield, Virginia, y las autoridades están buscando a su esposo como el sospechoso del asesinato, informó la policía del condado Fairfax el domingo.
Los oficiales respondieron a eso de las 12 p.m. a la cuadra 5200 de Rolling Road en Springfield. La víctima, cuya identidad no se ha revelado, tenía “traumatismos en la parte superior de su cuerpo consistentes con puñaladas”, de acuerdo a Lt. WUSA : SPRINGFIELD, Va. — A man wanted for stabbing his wife to death in Fairfax County over the weekend has been arrested in South Carolina, according to police.
Fairfax County Police Department Lt. Dan Spital shared the chilling details of the investigation in a press conference after the department confirmed the woman's death in Springfield, Virginia, around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday. Jose Hernandez Mejia was identified by police, wanted for second-degree murder.
According to a preliminary investigation, the woman was found dead in a home following a domestic-related stabbing, in the 5200 block of Rolling Road.
On Sunday, police shared Hernandez Mejia allegedly contacted a family member, asking them to come to the home. When family members arrived, the man then told them he'd stabbed his wife. He handed them some personal belongings, police said, and then drove away, sparking a manhunt. The search came to an end Monday morning, when police arrested him in South Carolina.
