Mycroft needs some help

Hello friends!

I'm sad to have to make this Gofundme at all, but I need some help to cover the recent surprise medical financial costs that incurred in the last few days which are currently sitting just shy of $3,000.

Ten days ago Mycroft, my cat of 11 years, showed a loss of appetite. It was the first indication that anything was wrong.

After taking him to the vet for x-rays and bloodwork, our vet found what he initially thought was a leakage in the small intestine. The x-ray was not clear enough for him to make a final call. He believed Mycroft may have sepsis, which is potentially deadly.

It was recommended we take Mycroft to urgent care as an internal specialist appointment would take weeks. And Mycroft potentially did not have weeks.

After 7 hours in Urgent care today, which is also my birthday, we were told that Mycroft does NOT have sepsis (hooray!). It's however, an abnormal growth in his lymph nodes.

The sad news is the urgent care vet believes there's a 50% chance this growth is cancerous. After the first visit, an additional urgent care visit, ultrasound, multiple tests, and tissue extraction for analysis we are currently at a medical bill of $2957.37 USD

I'd like to ask if any of you were thinking of getting me a birthday present this year can you please just donate instead? No matter how big or small it would be great. If you cannot donate, if you can share that would also be amazing!

I am trying steel myself for the upcoming medical road ahead for Mycroft. Knowing that if he does have cancer, it will be a long sad journey to make with him in the next few weeks or months. I'm trying to be realistic.
