Mykel Davis

Christy Cordova is an amazing mom of two. Her son Mykel was in a horrific, tragic accident and to take some weight off her shoulders, instead of her being at work until he is released from the hospital after surgeries and looking at a month and a half in the burn unit recovering, we are asking our team and our friends and community to help this Mykel and his family. 

This is his story: Mykel was driving and as he over corrected his turn some how hitting an embankment then hitting something with sulfuric acid, he felt the burn started screaming stripping what clothes he had left that wasn't eaten away. Then running 50ft to a Bobwire fence crawling under it naked, running 50 more ft to the 198 waving for help while he is with this acid on his body, got clipped twice by 2 cars and of course he looked like a crazy man out there but no one new his severity of needing help; he thought he was gonna die alone thinking of me and his sister. Soon the cops showed up see he is burned but also smell the acid asking him not to get go close so they don't get burned from it.  Now here we are facing years to recover one and a half months in the burn unit waiting on multiple surgerys and skin grafs that will be donated because he is so burnt there is really no skin from them to take from him left due to the severity. His face is completely burned as his body is wrapped from his neck down to his legs. 

We decided to make this page with Mykels families permission as soon as we heard she wanted to work Tuesday because bills still come. Times like these are when we need to reach out and help each other so Christy can fully be there during this tragic time and our team has her back. Anything helps and we ask for many prayers as Mykels first surgery is Monday 9/23/2019.
