Myles lewis marine biology program

Hi! My name is Myles, I’m a sophomore student athlete attending Yelm High School. I applied and received acceptance (1 of 18 students nationwide) to the Summer Springboard Pre-college Summer Program at the University of San Diego for the Marine Biology Program. My education remains one of my top priorities. I have maintained a grade point average of 3.8 and remain highly involved in my Yelm High School activities, teams sports and continue to volunteer in and around the my community.

Being able to attend this program is a dream come true, as I hope to attend college to major in Marine Biology. I will have the.opportunity to reside in the University of San Diego dorm room, as an on-campus student for two weeks over the summer (July 2024) for my Marine Biology experience. I have always been fascinated by the ocean and concerned about its future. Having the opportunity to possibly improve understanding of the marine world, to understand and predict changes in ecosystems affected by human and natural disturbances. The ability to collect and analyze samples in the lab, or working with animals are a few of my passions. I enjoy traveling and learning more about research being done completed in the marine biology field. I would not want any financial shortcomings to prevent this huge opportunity.

Your donation, your investment, will help support ablnd assist me to pay the required fees for the course, which are due on May 10 ,2024. Expenses include the application fee, program excursion fee, course supplement fees, tuition protection, travel fees (round trip plane ticket & airport bus transportation travel fee to & from the university), meals, room and board. The total calculated cost is $5,922.
