My Mate Sarah
Donation protected
Hello Friends,
Last year, I was devastated to find out that one of my best friends Sarah was diagnosed with Cancer. At the young age of 42, she has now undergone all of the usual conventional medical treatments with little success.
With two very young children Claudia aged 3 & Darcey aged 5 and Pete, her loving devoted partner of 18 years, Sarah is determined to fight for the chance of life were she get's to see her beautiful young children flourish in to adulthood.
I too want this for her more than anything and aim to do everything I can to support her battle. I remain optimistic that Sarah will conquer the big C but she desperately needs the financial support to do so.
I will be uploading a video soon sharing memories of my friendship with Sarah dating back to that good old year of 1997 when Chumbawumba ruled the charts and Spicing Up Your Life was a daily ritual! :)
From now up until Christmas Ukulele Club Liverpool & friends will be on a mission to raise our set target to support Sarah and her family. We will be hosting a range of donatable workshops, busking events, competitions and many more ukulele related activities plus our annual festive event, of which all proceeds collected will go to My Mate Sarah. We would love you to get involved!
All information will be available via out official UCL website: www.ukuleleclub.org.uk
In the meantime your gift of donations through this page will be a great start to giving Sarah a fighting chance as she engages in a multi-pronged approach of undertaking opportunities to discover new alternative therapies and treatments.
Thank you for the blessing of your support.
Best wishes to one all,
Elaine Kinsella
Director of Ukulele Club Liverpool
PS: Sarah & the girls came over for a visit and a stroll in Sefton park with myself & Fruitcake recently and Claudia managed to slowly but surely overcome her fear of dogs!! Go Claudia & Fruitcake :)
And on a recent visit to Brighton I got over my fear of pedlos...*Gulp*
Quite at home on the racing machines tho....
A perfect end to a perfect day :)
