Morgan's No Water Challenge
Donation protected
Hi I'm Morgan.
My family is affected by the drought in California. A couple of weeks ago we went 2 days with no running water and it was really hard. The scary part is that could be everyday for many of us. Drilling new wells or connecting to other water is super expensive. I wanted to challenge everyone to see what its like to live with no running water and maybe make up some of the 6 million gallons of water used in last years #icebucketchallenge. I starting this challenge to bring awareness and raise money. The money will help my family with a new water source, put in drought tolerant yard and expenses. I will pay forward at least 20% (even if I don’t meet my goal) to help others in the same situation.
Here is how the challenge works:
1) Tape off your faucets, shower heads, washing machines dishwasher, toilet handles or turn off the water to your house for 48 hours.
2) During the 48 hours you must *Do dishes * Do laundry * Cook * Bathe and wash hair
3) At the end of your 48 hours please challenge 3 friends #nowaterchallenge

**I have posted this for my daughter since she is under 18.
Morgan is a compassionate 11 year old who is already part activist, part conservationist and part philanthropist. Morgan has raised money school wide for a teacher with cancer and does things like mail her allowance to the SPCA. She will lecture you about wasting water, using plastic bags and being kind to each other and the environment.
Words cannot express how proud I am of my daughter. Her desire to help the family and others while bringing such a dire situation to a social platform is heartfelt.
Please support her in her endeavor
