MYO 2020-21 Season Fundraiser

Each season MYO holds a month long fundraiser to assist in getting the new season started. We don't spend the whole year raising funds and we depend on this one to give us a solid start to a new year. These past few months have been difficult for all of us. We were hit by a ticket company holding part of our gate receipts, then our final two shows had to be cancelled. We have persevered, going online for 4 virtual shows and making a little money through donations to see those. We have also offered about 200 free class sessions and workshops for our students and had attendance over 1,000. We have to plan to go ahead for the season and one way or another, we will adapt to the new performing environment. Covid has also hit our summer camp enrollment heavily. This was a large chunk of budget we hope to make up here, by going past our goal. We want to continue providing the best in Community Youth Theatre to McKinney and North Collin County, but we can't do it with your help and support. Please give what you can and pass this on to those who are interested in developing fine young people and performers.

You may see this as Melissa Youth OnSTAGE, or MYO. We are DBA McKinney Youth onSTAGE. We are a 501c3 Youth Theatre organization serving North Collin County in Texas. This is the 10th season for the organization. We offer low cost, high quality performing opportunities to student in the area. We do not charge tuition for our program. We do not make people buy a certain number of tickets. We don't ask students to purchase their own costumes. Our all volunteer staff is dedicated to an inclusive, supportive performing atmosphere for all students whether they want to be pros or just love the stage. Theatre changes lives and our organization has changed more than its share.
