"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." -Christopher Reeve
Dear friends,
One of our "own" could use a little help. Myra Avila was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer in late 2018. She is definitely facing some overwhelming obstacles right now. Myra is fighting this with everything she has! She is strong, determined, focused and is facing this battle with dignity and grace! She is a true hero!
Below is a break down, from Myra, of the financial impact that her treatment is taking on her bank account. In addition to traditional oncology treatments Myra is also using alternative therapies to increase her survival rate. These alternative treatments are a critical part winning this battle. Unfortunately, alternative therapies are not covered by her insurance. Myra isn't working right now because of her treatments. She is deep into her journey to beat this diagnosis and needs every ounce of her strength to focus on complete healing and remission.
Let's show Myra how much we love her by helping her reach her financial goals to BEAT CANCER! Any contribution size will help and will be greatly appreciated. Please also remember to keep her in your prayers. We are praying for total and complete healing.
Hello family and friends,
At the close of 2018 I was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. I’m approximately half way through my current chemotherapy (chemo) treatment. I’m also including two adjuvant treatments: 1) Nutrition, and 2) Vitamin C infusions. These additional treatments are expensive.
At this point in time, I need help covering the Vitamin C infusions costs. The costs for this treatment average $25,000. (I’m able to cover the nutritional program (400-500/mo.)
The Vitamin C treatment (along with another treatment) causes the cancer cell coverings to be more “exposed” and detectable by the chemo. This treatment helps the chemo to act more like a laser than a shotgun in its ability to target.
Thank you all who are Family and Friends rallying around me with a heart of love.
Love Myra.
