Mystery Ride accident victims
Donation protected
Hi there,
I’m creating this go fund me on behalf of the 4 men injured and 1 man who unfortunately passed away during the Mystery Ride 2024 to help them and their families with the cost of funerals, and time off work for their long roads to recovery. all funds that are donated will be evenly split between families involved.
On Friday 1st of November 2024, 70+ riders set off on their motorcycles on a Mystery Ride that has been hosted every year since 2015 started by Dave Boyles, Steve Boyles and their families. Leaving Kurri Kurri at around 8am.
By 12:30pm tragedy unfortunately hit when they came across an oil spill along the road, with not enough time to think or stop safely, 5 gentlemen unfortunately crashed resulting in 4 being seriously injured and 1 passing away.
Dave Boyles unfortunately passed away on scene leaving behind a wonderful and caring wife - Rhonda and 2 loving sons - Jack and Reece. His family now have to plan and organise his funeral and with this come extensive costs. Any little bit big or small will help relieve them of this as much as possible.
Glenn Thompson also known as “Chubb” also sustained injuries to his hip, pelvis and leg resulting in needing extensive surgery.
Sam James whom travels from Cowra each year to attend the Mystery Ride sustained injuries including a fractured vertebrae, broken sternum and internal bruising around the heart.
Kerian Mcalister who has attended the ride many years in a row sustained serious extensive injuries including a broken leg, broken ankle, gash to the leg, fractured skull and cheek bones, shattered collarbone, broken ribs and has been having some difficulties breathing on his own, resulting in surgery to repair his collarbone/shoulder.
Peter Graeber known as “Grub” to most sustained injuries including a fractured neck and fractured spin, and other unknown injuries.
All these men have families whom they support and will be unable to return to work for an extensive period of time.
Any amount big or small will help these guys and their families significantly with everyday bills and living costs until they’re all back on their feet fully and back at work.
Thanks, Al James.
