Lindsay’s breast cancer journey ❤️

Hello everyone! As you know I am Lindsay Radcliffe, 33 years old and just diagnosed with invasive ductus carcinoma (breast cancer).. this is my story:
My story begins about 3 years ago when my beautiful family start in a spiral of bad luck and misfortune. I was just starting my educational journey on becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner when my husband fractured his ankle in three places and was unable to do his job because it was not healing right. This forced me as being the only person to support my family of 3 plus three dogs lol so I was working full- time plus overtime and going to school full time. We eventually made it through the year with maxing our credit cards, and scraping by with the bare minimum and almost losing our beautiful new house. Within that year my poor husband fractured his foot, lost his job and lost 4 family members, including his mother. Within that year I was able to finish NP school and gain a job at Arizonas children’s association. We thought that things were finally looking up for us and was going to pay off all the debt we have gained over the past year.
for about three months everything was going great and had joined a kickball team with my work. During the first game of kickball I had fell really hard on my chest. Over the next few weeks I noticed a lump that was on my breast and thought it was just trauma from the fall. Kevin begged and begged me to go to the doctor and get it checked out. Finally, I went to the doctor and they highly suggest I get a mammogram and ultrasound. I had to wait two weeks to get my mammogram/ultrasound. Finally the day came and they cancelled my appointment while standing in line checking in because the tech called out sick. With all the stress over the past couple weeks due to waiting for this appointment. I began to cry and left the office. All I wanted was answers. The next day I spent calling around to different t imaging places only to find out I needed to wait two more weeks because of limited availability. When I was finally able to get the ultrasound and mammogram the doctor had told me they found 4 lumps in my breast and 1 in my axillary(armpit). Obviously this was not the news a person wants to hear. The office then again highly suggested I get biopsies done. As soon as I got home, I was on the phone calling around for the soonest appointment. Due to limited availability, I had to wait another two weeks. So for another two weeks I had to stress, lose sleep and worry that it could be cancer. Finally the day came for the biopsies, and I could not be happier to get some answers. The process went very fast and the doctor preforming the procedure was amazing. They told me that I would not have the results for about 2/5 business days ( biopsy done on Friday). I asked the doctor if she could tell by the results/mammogram/ultrasound if it was cancer. To hear the doctor say in her best educated guess that it was invasive ductus carcinoma, your heart drops and mind begins to race. By Tuesday I received an email stating that I had new results in my patient portal. Automatically I went and looked at all the results, the previous doctor was right.. it was cancer. After looking at the results I called my PCP to see if they got the results and needed an appointment to go over next steps. Again bad luck, my doctor was on vacation and would not be back for 5 days. So I’m all, I knew I had cancer before my doctor did. After 5 days I was able to see my PCP and get the next steps done. My first oncology appointment is in 5 days and I am scared out of my mind.
I am very grateful for all the support and love from everyone so far. As many of you know, we can never be prepared for something like this. Do to all our misfortunes we are in need of help to get us past these next few months with medical bills, food, and living expenses. Any donations will be very appreciated and go towards a very good cause.
thank you for listening and reading my story. Love you all ❤️
