Maternal filicide is defined as child murder by the mother. Infanticide is child murder in the first year of life. Unfortunately, both of these have taken the life of a beautiful little boy.

Hi my name is Jodie, I am starting this page for my best friend Mike after the loss of his 8 month old son.

On Friday, May 31, mike got a call that no parent would ever want to receive, that his 8 month old had been found deceased in the opposite parents home, alongside his 4 year old, who was brought to the hospital extremely dehydrated, but luckily survived.

Their mother left them in the home alone for 8 days and didn't tell anyone. She left them without food, safety, or care. During this time, mike had been awaiting a court settlement to allow him further custody of his children.

Now; after the loss of one son, and thank goodness, the saving of his other, mike. has gained custody, while the biological mother is in jail.

I am hoping this page can support mike and his son, with funds for funeral costs along with funds to support his son to start again fresh, in his safe and warm embrace.
