Gary's Celebration of Life

It is with utmost sadness and broken hearts that we share the news that our brother, Gary David Arthurs, is no longer with us. Gary fought extremely hard, but sadly his injuries were too severe. He passed with his siblings and niece at his bedside, surrounding him with love, prayers and his favorite music.

Gary’s loss was sudden and a complete shock to family and friends, and we are still trying to come to terms and process this. We truly appreciate all of your love and well-wishes.

If you would like to contribute to Gary's Celebration of Life, here is one way that you can do so. We are in the planning stages and will let everyone know the details when they become available. Gary would love to see us all come together for a HUGE celebration in his memory, and we want to give that to him. Instead of flowers and mourning, he would tell us all, "I like turtles"....and watch us laugh! He would prefer that everyone gather with good food, lots of drinks and carry on his legacy of smiles, jokes, infinite laughter, and of course, the shenanigans!

Each person who was lucky enough to know Gary, knows that he is truly a one-of-a-kind soul, with the biggest heart, who always did things his way. He was so unapologetically himself! He was known for keeping things fun, and not letting things get too serious with his funny, playful jokes, antics and shenanigans! Gary truly loved his family, his friends, his church and the animals he always took in and cared for.

Gary may have had a tough guy appearance, and he most definitely was tough, but inside, he was a soft, sweet teddy bear, who would do anything for anyone, AKA OUR GARE BEAR.

Our hearts are shattered in a million pieces, and this is the hardest thing to do, to carry on in this life without him, but we will be reunited with him one day, in a place where his shenanigans will never end!
