Can you help us raise US $5730 to get Marie Lindsay back into her house by Christmas?
On April 30th 2020, Marie's house was completely destroyed by fire. Marie lost everything and is now homeless .
Marie is a 65 year old amputee who was abandoned at an early age. She suffered the loss of one hand and both feet due to gangrene. She lived most of her life at the Mona Rehabilitation Center in Jamaica and was fortunate to gain basic employment there for 40 years. With help from a dear friend, who appealed to the National Housing Trust (NHT) on her behalf, and with savings from her meagre earnings, Marie was able to get her house at age 30.
Among the many challenges Marie has faced, one was the most painful of all was the tragic loss of her only son. Marie has managed to overcome the pain of that loss through her resilient faith and trust in God
The loss of her house by fire, came after the devastating loss of her son.
We can get Marie into her home by Christmas for the amount of US$8580.00. With the help of Marie's original benefactor, we have already raised US$2850.00.
