When a child needs help, Aimee comes running - every time. As a respiratory therapist in the PICU, Aimee has saved countless lives, and touched so many more with her skill, knowledge, and kindness. Now it is our turn to help her family.
Aimee's son Liam has Duchenne muscular dystrophy. A college freshman, he had chosen Media as his field of study, and wanted to work in film and production. But on March 8th, everything changed. Liam fell out of his wheelchair and sustained a severe brain injury. He needed to be placed on a ventilator, which put him at incredibly high risk of needing permanent respiratory support. Thanks to the incredible care at Riley Children's Hospital, Liam was able to be extubated, but his journey is far from over. His progress has been steady but slow, and we still don't know what lies ahead for this sweet boy and his family.
Aimee has helped so many people throughout her career. Let's uplift her family now, especially her amazing son, as they move through this difficult time.
