In Memory of Brian Johnston

My sister Ellen is experiencing the tragic loss of the love of her life and best friend. She and Brian were married more than half her life and were each other's love of their life. They led a life of integrity and together parented their six independent, intelligent and compassionate human beings into our world.

Brian has had many family and friends reach out to ask how they can help Ellen and family get through this truly hard AF time in their lives.

This Go Fund Me is for those who have expressed concern and an interest in helping this wonderful family. The generousity of the company that Brian worked for has taken care of the funeral expenses to help Ellen with the burden of not having to make difficult decisions by herself.

The emotional hardship comes with a burden few of us will ever know. Ellen's day-to-day living expenses will be intense while the family bridges the gap to get back on their feet, both emotionally and physically. It takes time for insurance claims to pay out. They were in the process of packing and moving out of the house they have lived in for ten years. Thanks to the latest housing bubble, their landlord announced on 7-1st that the lease will not be renewed, they are selling.

It will take the family a few months to figure out what to do next, where they will go and how they will go without Brian by their side. Actually, if you have ever experienced this type of loss ... it will always be there for them. For all of us. We all loved Brian so much. This is so much pain, so much loss.
