Support for Funeral Costs After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
Never in a million years would I have thought I would have to write this about my little brother and that my family would have to go through this loss.
Sunday, December 22nd, a day after celebrating our sister’s quinceañera, my brother was shot in the head, leaving him unresponsive and connected to a ventilator. The bullet caused so much damage to his brain that his survival rate went from 10% to 0% in just less than 24 hours. The doctors told us if he by any chance survived this, he was never going to be the same. He would never walk, talk, listen, or even eat.
With so much heaviness in our hearts, he passed away this morning, Tuesday, December 31. He had such a bright future ahead. He was going to head to Australia and actually finish his time at the Marines earlier and be home for good next year. We were supposed to see him finish his career, become a dad, someday get married, and eventually have kids, but that was ripped from us. But I know he will get the justice he deserves.
Sadly, his passing was very unexpected, and we found out that the military covers barely anything with funeral services and memorials. We normally don’t ask for anything, but we ask if you are able to donate at least something, please do so or at least keep our family in your prayers during this hard time.
