'Namibia mission trip

Dear friends and family,

I want to invite you to a unique opportunity. With Canyon View Vineyard Church, I am going to Namibia, a country in the Southern region of Africa to serve on a two-week ministry outreach this summer.

Our team of about 16 people will go through a life changing biblical worldview training, then be positioned to come alongside a few local ministries to bless, encourage, and serve alongside them.

When we exchange we grow, and this is an incredible opportunity for myself and our team to serve practically while growing. The amazing thing about this experience is that we will primarily serve alongside locally run initiatives. The reason for this is to provide sustainable development in the long term. At times short term missions teams come to a community and have a lot of ideas of what that community might need. They may start an initiative, however, it is not sustainable in the local economy. It dies within a few weeks, months, or years after the team leaves, usually due to lack of local ownership. Because of this, we choose to partner alongside local missionaries and churches that have a proven track record. These folks usually have been serving for a number of years in the region/community, and do so on a daily or weekly basis. These partners host the team, and we partner in what God is already doing in and through them. Coming in with this approach opens many many doors for the gospel to breakthrough.

During our time this summer, a few of our local partners include Ruah Elohim and Feeding Namibia. Ruah Elohim is a ministry that serves mothers/babies. Babies are dropped off in what's called a baby drop box by mothers that are unable to care for these children properly. This ministry raises these children from then on. Another is “Feeding Namibia.” Many children/youth do not have adequate nutrition across the country. This ministry meets this need by distributing much needed nutritional meals while sharing the gospel to these local youth/children. We may also serve in a few other evangelistic/prayer initiatives as the Lord leads during our time.

This is where you come in, I need $3000 for the cost of my trip. This includes plane tickets, lodging, transportation, and food. I am personally raising the money. All donations WILL be used for helping me fun this trip. Below, are the fundraising goals leading up to the day of departure.
