Prayers For Chris

Hello everyone. My name is Brian Buesing and it is my hope that this fundraiser will give my brother-in-law Chris Huls as much support as it possibly can both financially and through prayer. On Monday, June 27th 2022, Chris had an accident at work where he was a part time maintenance worker. His fall resulted in breaking his neck and a spinal cord injury. His treatment started in Champaign where he was not able to feel or move anything from his neck down. He was scared but showed how courageous and tough he was right from the start. After being transferred to Shirley Ryan Ability Lab in Chicago, his parents Mike and Melinda came to Chicago as well to be by his side through the challenging days ahead. Chris continues his physical therapy every day with an amazing medical staff who challenge and encourage him in so many ways. Mike and Melinda are also with him everyday helping with his therapy and helping Chris learn to do many tasks that we take for granted such as eating, putting on shoes, or getting a glass of water. We are all so proud of Chris for the gains that he continues to make every day. I ask that you please pray for Chris and his family! And if you can offer any financial support for Chris to help him cover the medical costs he will have, that would be greatly appreciated as well. Together with the love and grace of God, family, and friends, we are going to help our brother Chris through this challenging journey.
