Funeral for Barry Thomas
Donation protected
Hi my name is Kasha. This fundraiser is for my Dad, Barry Thomas who was recently taken from us in a brutal attack that took place on 12/09/2022. All the money raised will go towards giving him the funeral he deserves and enabling us to put his body to rest. Due to the circumstances of his death we we’re not prepared mentally, physically or financially. My dad was murdered in the most horrific way and left for dead. We have so many questions and are yet to get answers. The police are working tirelessly to find out what happened, while I can only say I feel useless. Times are hard for everyone so any small donation will be immensely appreciated. I wish I could tell you the full story of what happened but we are still putting the pieces together. All we can do is hope someone will come forward with information. As for the funeral arrangements, I never thought I’d be asking my siblings what sort of funeral they think dad would of liked… Nothing could of prepared us for this. It’s the sort of thing you see on the news or read about on Facebook and as clique as it sounds, you never think it will be someone you know and love. No conversation about what sort of funeral he would like or ever took place as we just thought we had more time. But from what we do know we want to give him the best send off. Something small and intimate, with lots of food, laughter and a bottle of brandy. What I can tell you is he was a Dad, a son, a brother, an uncle and loved by many. He was kind, funny and cheeky. He loved his family and he loved to cook and to eat. Taking care of his dad was one of his greatest treasures, along side his 3 beautiful children. There’s so much I still don’t know about my dad, stuff I’ll never know. I’ll never hear his voice again, feel the warmth of his hug or hear him laugh. I’ll never get to tell him how much I love him. I can only hope he’s found peace and we as a family can to and begin to heal from this. We can only begin the healing process by facing what’s ahead. And that’s planning his funeral. So I kindly ask that if anyone can make a donation to help. We will all be forever thankful.
