Sara Pittman's Cancer Recovery Fund.

Sara has probably been your server if you have been into Flattop & Salamander, or maybe you know her from her time as a barista at Papaccinos, maybe her time spent at Mount Hood community college.
Early this month Sara had shortness of breath, and as a healthy 32 year old she thought to take herself to urgent care. From there Sara was sent to Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital where they found cancerous masses, and only days later she was diagnosed with B-cell Lymphoma stage 2. The treatment plan started Monday July 24th, projected to end in November. However, she likely won't be able to resume her normal job duties until months later in 2024.
As a healthy adult, this came as a shock, and no person is properly prepared for something of this magnitude. Sara loves to live life and she does that to the fullest by way of her friends, family, and love for horror films, movies, and music. Sara is everything to so many people and we cannot imagine being in her shoes. Sara as a server takes the time to care her customers, but she does that and so much more to her coworkers. She is the heart and soul of Flattop & Salamander and her recovery means everything to the people here, so we hope that by reading this you can share or donate to her recovery fund.
We will also be hosting a fundraiser in her honor on Thursday, September 21st, 2023 at Flattop & Salamander from 6-10 pm. There will be a silent auction, food, & drinks for purchase along with a DJ so everyone can enjoy some music. We are also accepting donations for the silent auction if you have something that you’d like to donate in Sara’s honor.
