Help Rebuild Life After Devastating Fire

My name is Randi Braz, and I live in Kasaan, a small rural community in Southeast Alaska. On June 8th, our lives were turned upside down when a devastating house fire completely destroyed my childhood home and everything we owned, including our travel trailer. This tragic event has left my family—my two kids, Logan and Lydia, our 8 fur babies, and me—without a place to call home.The fire started unexpectedly from a cigarette ember and quickly engulfed the entire house. Despite the efforts of emergency services, we were unable to save any of our belongings. Our home was filled with irreplaceable memories, photos, and keepsakes from multiple generations that are now lost forever. Thankfully, we managed to escape safely, but now we are faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding our lives from scratch, without any insurance coverage to fall back on.

We are humbly asking for your support to help us cover the costs of temporary housing, basic necessities, food, replacing important documents, furniture, and household items.

Additionally, funds will be used for rebuilding or finding permanent housing, setting up utilities, transportation, counseling, and care for our pets.

Rebuilding after such a loss is a monumental challenge, and your support can make a significant difference in helping us regain stability and move forward. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will go directly towards rebuilding our lives.
