The Road to the Finish: Graduation

It's hard to believe that I am at the end of what has been a more incredible journey than I could have asked for. In what is almost four years as a student at Syracuse University I have crafted my passion for broadcast journalism by not resting until I made it into the esteemed Newhouse School of Communications my sophomore year and I have pushed through the growing pains that come along with going to school across the country from my home and family. Just when I thought there was no hill or challenge left to overcome, I have recently been devastated by financial hardship that has hit my family; creating yet another challenge I am left to overcome. This challenge is pushing me to learn humility. Coming to grips with recent familial and financial hardships has been a painful vulnerable experience.

Someone once told me that becoming an adult does not mean suddenly having everything together, but rather the ability to let go of childish pride and ask for help when you need it most. In my fourth and final year of college, as I hope to enter my next phase of adulthood, I am taking that advice to heart and I am asking for your help to allow me to achieve what will be the most meaningful accomplish of my life thus far. I am asking for any financial assistance you can offer to help allow me to graduate. Closing this chapter of my life and transitioning to the next step of my life is the only goal in sight, and I hope that you will join me in not stopping until I get there.
