Spinal Surgery and Recovery

I will try to keep this brief:

I will be having emergency surgery on my spine due to badly herniated lumbar discs. As a result of my injury, I am experiencing constant pain and paralysis in my right leg and foot, and the surgery is an effort to avoid those becoming permanent conditions. In addition to the expensive costs of surgery, I am facing a long recovery period with associated expenses. These costs will quickly overwhelm my available personal finances, so I am turning to the kindness of friends and strangers to help me along.

The impact of this injury has been profound. Throughout my life, I have found meaning, community, and identity through movement in the outdoors, and this treatment path offers me hope that I will be able to return to this core aspect of my life. I sincerely thank you for any help you can provide.
