Ryan's Battle against Kidney Cancer
Donation protected
Ryan Neider,(who originally thought he had torn his rotator cuff), after weeks of scans and biopsies, was officially diagnosed on Tuesday, October 20th with stage 4 kidney cancer. This was just days after his 46th birthday. He is a wonderful, extremely involved father to his 13 year old son. He's a hard worker with a full time job at Dominican High School. He has been coaching his son's baseball team for many years and truly enjoys coaching.
Ryan is awaiting a phone call from MD Anderson in Houston for a consult, with hopes of being a candidate for a clinical trial. Ryan has metastatic disease to his bones and to his liver. The pain in his ribs from the metastatic cancer is extremely painful, so Ryan is unable to work right now. He will start Radiation treatments to help alleviate some of the pain on Wednesday while awaiting the "phone call" , and a plan to start chemotherapy soon.
Many people have asked if there is anything they can do or any way they can help. I am setting up this fund, with that in mind, to help him absorb the costs of medical and travel expenses, as he begins the "fight of his life". If you are one of those people who want to help Ryan with this fight, then please consider donating here. I thank all of those in advance who are able to help out, as well as all of those who are sending prayers his way.
