Arianna's fight against Leukemia!!!
Donation protected
The purpose of this fund, is to help give my daughter, Shelley, some emotional relief, through financial support, during her daughter's fight against Leukemia. She will be unable to work for awhile, and had only just returned to work last month, after a maternity leave. Any, and all donations, would be greatly appreciated.

My granddaughter, Arianna, is a precocious, intelligent, chatty, loveable 4 year old girl, who is smart beyond her years. She has amazed us all, with her ability to hold her own, and is a 'take charge' kind of girl, no matter what the situation. She is a wonderful big sister, to her little brother Alexander, a loving companion to all her cousins, and is loved by so many people in her life.

Shelley is a strong, and very loving mother, who will be there by Arianna's side, every step of the way, through the treatment about to begin.

Below, are the words, that my daughter , Shelley, wrote from her heart, when she learned of her daughter's Leukemia diagnosis, on Oct. 22, 2015.
"As I sat here alone at McMaster last night watching Arianna sleep so peacefully there was a knock at the door. The specialist who performed her biopsy earlier that morning entered with some news ..... The look of a heavy heart on her face as she sat down to give me the news. It's not what you want to hear she says as she starts talking. I'm sorry to inform you that your daughter has Leukemia. In a state of shock I remain calm as she continues to let me know what this means for Arianna. It wasn't until later that I broke down and cried as Ari continued to sleep. My little princess so full of life has cancer. I quickly dry my tears and put on my brave face as Ari wakes up ...... We laugh, make silly faces, tell jokes and I am the mom she has always known me to be. Today we discussed her treatment ..... Chemo starts Wednesday and she is in for the long haul over the next 2 years. This won't break her or us ..... We will fight as a family and she will beat this. Her appearance will change, she will lose her hair but she will always be that feisty girl everyone knows and loves. Life changed last night but we are all still the same ..... Our family and friends will fight along with us as we help Ari through this battle in life"
