Help Jake Heal ❤️

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

Jacob Brewer, my 33 year old cousin, is not a stranger to the hospital and because of circumstances still relatively unknown-he has found himself again in a serious condition at St Anthony’s in Rockford. On Friday, November 3, he told his loving wife, Jen, that he wasn’t feeling well. He stayed most of the day in bed, complaining of a headache. If you know Jake, this is EXACTLY how he would be handling a major medical condition-sleeping it off and toughing it out. Later in the evening he became unable to speak and collapsed due to complete right sided paralysis. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance immediately and given medication to help breakup the blood clot in his brain. It has since been determined that he had a stroke. He is currently unable to speak and unable to move his right side entirely.

We have a million questions. We don’t think this should happen to happy, healthy, young dads, but instead of asking the question “why?!” our family is asking you to ask yourself the questions, “How?!” “how can we help?“

Jacob is a hard worker. Always has been. He was scheduled to start a new job on Monday morning. Finances are tight right now since he has been in between jobs, in general, but adding multiple trips to Rockford to care between Jake and their three wonderful kids, has made things even tighter for Jen. We know medical bills will ensue. We know there will be equipment for rehabilitation. We know this will be expensive. However, we also know that there are many people who love and adore the Brewers and are already asking to help.

We are believing for a full recovery. We trust that Jake has the willpower (stubbornness), dedication, love for his family and ability to spur him on to make a full recovery. However, we also know that it is going to take time and resources.

Please consider making a financial contribution through this platform. We will try to post updates regarding his medical condition, as he and Jen feel comfortable sharing.

Also, please pray for my sweet cousin. Pray for peace as he is unable to speak, but still
be able to communicate his needs. Please pray for restoration of his body. Pray also for comfort for him and his family.

Thank you for your support in whatever way you’re able.
