N95 Mask Repair for USC Verdugo Hills Hospital
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Gavin Choi and I am a rising senior at La Canada High School. I am raising $1,400 to replace elastic on 15,000 N95 masks that we're donated to USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. As we continue to fight the growing coronavirus pandemic, it is important that we keep those fighting on the front lines safe and your contribution will ensure USC Verdugo Hills Hospital has ample protective supplies.
The elastic on these masks have lost their elasticity and need to be restored. Therefore, I am organizing community volunteers to fix these masks and need to raise money to purchase new elastic bands. In total, we need 8,750 yards of elastic in order to cover the 15,000 N95 masks. After much research and negotiation, I found a seller who will provide me with 61 rolls of elastic, with each roll containing 144 yards, at $23.00 per roll. This will give me 8,784 yards of elastic and will cost a total of $1,400.
We must make sure that medical workers have an adequate supply of proper equipment and that our local hospital is prepared for an inevitable surge in the near future. ANY amount will be greatly appreciated and surplus money raised will be donated to the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital.
Stay safe and thank you for your time.
Best,
Gavin
