Support Shawn's Fight Against Lymphoma

Shawn Jesse is a dedicated husband, father, brother, and uncle. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors. His roots are in rural Iowa, and he is always willing to offer a helping hand. He is now looking for your support.

In September 2021, Shawn began noticing a rash, becoming itchy across his body, and had developed swollen lymph nodes, making it challenging to breathe. He visited numerous doctors that ended with no official diagnosis as symptoms continued. This continued for multiple months. In May 2022, Shawn underwent a biopsy of his neck. The biopsy led to an official diagnosis of Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Since May 2022, Shawn has undergone multiple rounds of chemo treatments, radiation on his neck, and continues to take a chemo pill.

In January 2025, after developing a new symptom of back pain, Shawn went in for multiple diagnostic tests that showed tumors in his stomach and back. Shawn underwent a 360° radiation treatment for those tumors.

Due to continued lack of successful treatments for Mantle Cell Lymphoma, Shawn will undergo CAR T Cell Therapy in March 2025. CAR T Cell Therapy is a type of immunotherapy that uses a patient’s own T cells to fight cancer. It involves collecting, engineering, and infusing T cells into the patient to target and destroy cancer cells. Due to the extreme nature of this type of therapy/treatment plan, Shawn will be staying near the Mayo Hospital area in Rochester for an extended period.

As a result, Shawn and Connie will be away from their jobs for the unforeseen future. We are asking for funds for food expenses, lodging, and medical bills, while Shawn and Connie fight this battle.
