Cece Needs Our Help!
Donation protected
We are parents of a rescue cat, her name is Cece. Our names are Glenn and Elizabeth. We adopted Cece in 2016 - the picture is of the day we got her. She was approximately 3 years old at the time, so she is now about 11 or 12. Within the past week she suddenly began eating less food and eating litter. We brought her in, and they said she was anemic and had a low platelet count. They referred us to an emergency clinic - long story short, after another couple of blood tests, x-rays and an ultrasound they think she may have bone marrow cancer. We have decided it will be best to spare her the "next steps" - bone marrow biopsy and possible chemo - given the invasiveness and low chance for success. A note of caution however: The x-ray showed her stomach is full of pellets which will probably not pass. If you are using a pellet-based system, you may wish to reconsider. We want to thank everyone again - just knowing there are caring people willing to help is a comfort.
