Nachito Herrera Family Fund

Are you among the thousands of people who have been thrilled, amazed, and transformed by the performances of Ignacio “Nachito” Herrera? At every performance, he gives us the full throttle of his genius. He lifts us up to a place where what seems impossible becomes possible.
But now, Nachito Herrera needs us to lift him up. He spent 18 days in the hospital, suffering with COVID-19 coronavirus, kept alive by an ECMO machine, which functioned for days as his heart and lungs. The University of Minnesota medical team saved his life. He returned home on April 16, after the obligatory consecutive tests showed him to be "negative" for virus. Immediate family and close friends rejoiced, but concerns remain for the long road ahead.
Prior to falling victim to this terrible virus, Nachito had already lost income as a result of performance cancellations. Now, in addition to not knowing when performances will resume, Nachito faces the uncertainty of his recovery and when he can perform again.
Will you join in lifting up Nachito? The Nachito Herrera Family fund will provide what he needs most right now – time to recover his health and to return to the piano. The purpose of the fund is to sustain Nachito and his family until venues reopen and performances become regular, and Nachito can thrill us, once again.
