Help Nadine, Jeff, and puppies rebuild their home

Hi, My name is Jerry, I am close friends with Nadine Whalen and Jeff Lear. I am fundraising for Nadine, Jeff and their fur babies to help rebuild their home that was lost during the Nova Scotia floods in July of 2023. Eight years ago they took their life savings and moved to Nova Scotia from NFLD to build their modest riverfront off-grid retirement home. Jeff developed the property and built the home with the trees he cut down himself. Nadine and Jeff are the type of people who never ask for help but are always there to help their friends and neighbors, oftentimes putting other people's needs ahead of their own. After 8 years of hard work, they finally started to see the light of completion and enjoy their retirement with their dogs, chickens, rabbits, etc. In July of 2023 that changed, with the blink of an eye their home with 3 dogs inside was underwater, along with their vehicle and all belongings either water damaged or swept away. Jeff nearly lost his life trying to rescue the dogs, luckily the next day the water subsided and the dogs were ok.

These funds will be used to help with the cost of building materials, redeveloping the land, tools, and anything else needed that insurance wouldn't cover to get them back in a home. Any help is much appreciated.
