“I know I’m who I am today because I knew you”
If you’ve met Nadine Shapiro, then it is undeniable that your life has “been changed for good”. For the past 17 years, Broadway Bound has been a safe and loving environment for children to embrace the magical world of music and theatre. Ms. Nadine has dedicated her life to helping her students reach their fullest potential, instilling confidence and encouraging them to reach for the stars. She brought together not only her students of all different backgrounds and ages, but also their families, creating her own special community where everyone became family to her and to each other.
As most know, Ms. Nadine was diagnosed with breast cancer one year ago. She has bravely fought this battle without complaints, and our children never saw anything but her positive, happy self at every single lesson, rehearsal and show. However, behind that kind and beautiful smile was pain that she rarely shared and, unfortunately, the cancer has spread. Ms. Nadine is at home receiving 24/7 care as she continues to fight this battle. Her necessary care and treatment is very costly and, sadly, not covered under insurance. Here’s what we can do to help -
We have set up this Go Fund Me page to help cover the extraordinary expenses associated with Ms. Nadine’s treatment and care. We know everyone wants to help, and this is what Ms. Nadine needs most right now. We kindly ask her theatre family and friends to contribute any amount of money (no amount is too small and any amount is more than appreciated).
*Nadine’s care is being managed by her children (Lauren, Lindsay and Greg). All money raised through this Go Fund Me will go directly towards Nadine’s treatment and care.
“I’ve heard it said, that people come into our lives for a reason, bringing something we must learn and we are led to those who help us most to grow, if we let them, and we help them in return”
