Nadine’s Hurricane Ian Fundraiser

Donation protected
It’s no surprise that Hurricane Ian was devastating to many. Please join me in helping my good friend Nadine as she is beginning her life again from scratch. Living through the heart of the devastation in Fort Myers, she has lost her home and belongings as well as her place of work to this storm. (Zelle and Venmo are also available to donate)

Here is her story if you would like to read:

“For those wondering what happened … it’s been the worst experience ever.
We lost power- generator power - and running water at the news station during continuous coverage and during a very critical part in our service to our community.
So we no longer could do our job when Hurricane Ian was RIPPING through our area.
It completely flooded the first floor of the news station.
We got rescued from the station after more than 12 hours after being flooded in but it was an adventure to say the least leading up to that. We didn’t know what the future was going to bring and that was scary just being in the dark for long periods of time.
And today after finally escaping Ian’s flood from work … I got to see my home and the damage my home went through.
It looks like a tornado went through it and all my personal belongings are at a total loss and everywhere. The place is not livable. The flood waters were so high it flipped my fridge over. I can’t imagine being at the home during this hurricane although I was dealing with a titanic situation already at the station.
If you haven’t heard from me the cell towers are shot and I’m doing my best to update with the bad service we have.
The whole area still does not have power or running water.

The destruction is catastrophic with possibly the most deaths we’ve seen since Katrina.
There’s a lot of unknown right now in the area I live in and not only uncertainty with the news station but where I live moving forward.

I am blessed to have survived this deadly catastrophic nearly category 5 hurricane but I know not everyone can say that.

All things can be replaced but lives can’t so I can only be thankful that I survived what was the scariest situation I’ve ever been in.”

All funds will go directly to Nadine to help her relocate and rebuild. Thank you in advance to everyone who can help.
