Naheim Burbridge

Hi, my name is Patricia Brennan Water Safety Instructor at South Troy Pool and Teacher at Albany High School (Abrookin) Naheim Burbridge was a student of mine whom I employed with my summer employment 3 years ago, and was currently employed for the summer at the pool. On Saturday July 22nd 2023, Naheim left work at 5:45pm. Prior to leaving, I gave him his navigation card for traveling back and forth to work. He made it home by bus, told his mother he wanted to get some fried chicken from the corner store. On his way to the corner store, he was approached by some individuals who wanted anything that was in his pockets. Upon getting what they wanted, something happened and Naheim was shot and killed. The police heard gun shots and responded where they found Naheim unresponsive, with no identification on him. He later was pronounced dead at Albany Medical Center Hospital. His mother had to go and identify him. Naheim was one of the kindest people you could ever meet at only 21 years old. He showed compassion to all those around him, and would help anyone no matter what. He would give his last dollar to help someone in need. He was very passionate about making his friends and family proud especially when he graduated from high school. Naheim was a good person who was taken from us too soon. No amount of money can give us back what was taken from us when Naheim was killed, but please help us raise money so that Naheim’s family can properly lay him to rest.
